Some mornings you want someting good to eat for breakfast, but don't have time to get out all the pots and pans needed to eat something good. Thankfully, there is an easy way to get around the time problem by making some eggs in the microwave!
For this recipe, you will need -
- One egg
- Some milk (about 1/3 of a cup - depends on preference)
- Cheese (optional)
- Bacon bits (optional)
- Chopped tomato (optional)
- Diced ham (optional)
- Mushrooms (optional)
- Onions (optional)
- Bell Peppers (optional)
- Parsley (optional)
- Chives (optional)
Though the ingredients list may look lengthy at first glance, most of the ingredients are optional and are added depending on what you like and have time for. The only things you really need is an egg and a splash of milk.
To make the eggs, start by whisking together (you can use a whisk if you want, I usually use a fork) the eggs and milk in a small, microwave safe bowl. Try to get as much air into the mixture as you can for fluffier eggs. Than mix in whatever add ins you want (not limited to the list, if you have something to add feel free to try it!)
Once all your ingredients are mixed together, cover the bowl with a paper towel, paper plate or something else (this can get a little messy in the microwave - you'll thank us later) and put it in the microwave for 45 seconds. When it comes out, it will look done on the top but the middle will probably still be raw.
Mix the eggs and put it back in the microwave for 30 seconds. Depending on a lot of things like the strength of your microwave, the size of the egg, and the amount of milk and add ins, it may or may not be done. If your eggs are done, you can eat them. If they are not, continue mixing and microwaving your eggs for 30 seconds until they are.
Now, you are done! Thank you for reading, enjoy your eggs, and see you soon!
