Do you want to impress your friends by doing a cartwheel? Then follow these easy steps to learn how to do a cartwheel today!
Step 1. You need to learn to trust yourself. This sounds easy, but it's definitely not as easy as you think. If you dont trust yourself, you will have a hard time building up the courage to do a cartwheel.
Step 2: Start by standing up straight in a large open area, so you wont hit or damage anything, or yourself. Place your hands 1-2 feet in front of your feet, and jump to the other side of your hands. Practice this about 10 times.
Step 3. Stand up straight and lean forward like you are going to do a handstand and let you feet come off the ground 1-3 feet. Don't use too much force though, because you can flip over. Practice this about 10 times.
Step 4: Combine steps 2 and 3, but also lift your back foot off the ground before your hands touch the ground. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT JUMP AND LAND ON YOUR ARMS. Start small at first when you jump, but slowly jump longer and faster while also starting to bring your feet up higher with each jump. Continue until you feel comfortable trying a real cartwheel.
Step 5: Try doing a real cartwheel. Make sure you try this over carpet or something soft so you do not hurt your feet. Keep trying until you can do a full cartwheel.
Once you can do a cartwheel, show off to all your friends how cool you are. You can try doing multiple in a row, or doing a cartwheel with one hand. Just remember to be careful.
Have fun and see you soon!
